Wada created a hidden well in the backyard of an apartment building in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. It flips the contrast between nature and art because here Wada was confronted with the context of the manmade city landscape. Within the narrow space between the building walls, the cascade of rough marble blocks provides a natural spectacle, accompanied by the gentle gurgle of water. Its steep, vertical arrangement directs the viewer’s sight up to the rectangular cutout of the sky above.
